Big Gulch Fire 80 Percent Contained

Crews have continued working on the Big Gulch Fire in Moffat County and progress is
finally happening on the containment line. The latest report states that aerial mapping has
provided a better estimate on the affected area. The BLM data states that the Big Gulch
Fire covers 1,161 acres and it was 80 percent contained as of Friday. No structures have
been in danger by the wildfire though there are some homes in the area. Crews have
managed to make progress battling the wildfire that is located several miles west of
Craig.
