Wildfire conditions don’t need any extra help from community members and the Ute Indian Tribe is taking the next step and has issued a Fire Restriction Order for the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation. Fireworks were already prohibited on the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation pursuant to a Resolution passed on June 29th but this Order adds further fire restrictions. To view the complete Order, visit the BIA Forestry & Wildland Fire-Uintah & Ouray Agency Facebook page. Wildland fires have been igniting across northeastern Utah. BIA Forestry & Wildland Fire reported the Moon Lake Road Fire on Sunday located just north of the Lake Fork bridge on tribal lands. It was last reported at 100 acres and is believed to have been started by lightning.
