A special partnership between local construction company BHI and addiction recovery center Thompsen House of Hope is making a difference in the community. Most recently, an estimated 140 volunteers between the two organizations gave a full day on a major restoration project at the Ashley Valley Nature Park north of Vernal on 1500 North. The work included refurbishing trails, constructing new picnic spots, repairing fences, and installing swings and nature-inspired benches. Crews also cleared trees to improve visibility and revamped parking space and the park’s entrance. The collaborative effort that took place on Tuesday this week brought the beauty and function of the nature park to a whole new level and all involved were proud of what was accomplished. “We want to give back and be part of something that benefits our community,” shared Thompsen House of Hope Residence Manager Leo Thorsen. Well done to all the volunteers for their collaborative work and selfless service.
