An amazing family with big hearts made a significant donation to a special fund that helps local families suffering a painful loss. On April 4th, 2017, Shawn and Sierra Williams lost their daughter, Burklee Ann, while 30 weeks pregnant. During that difficult time, Brody’s Fund, the non-profit that helps families financially after a miscarriage or stillborn, stepped up to relieve some of the financial stress of their loss. Full of gratitude, the Williams began talking about fundraisers they could be part of to contribute to Brody’s Fund in order to help others. Less than a year later in December, the Williams lost another baby girl during pregnancy. Even though they were heartbroken, they still invested the time and loving energy into organizing a 5 Man Softball Tournament Fundraiser and Raffle to benefit Brody’s Fund. On April 14th, the ‘Ballin’ 4 Burklee’ softball tournament, that included a ‘Raffle for Rozee’, invited 15 mens teams and 7 womens teams to Constitution Park in Roosevelt for a weekend of softball for a great cause! An amazing $9,648 dollars was raised and donated to Brody’s Fund. On Thursday, Shawn and Sierra Williams and their boys Jayden and Riggin, presented a check to Uintah Basin Healthcare to support Brody’s Fund. Thank you Williams family for your big hearts and wonderful example to the community.
