It was an awe inspiring night at the Trees For Charity Auction Gala on Monday evening at the Uintah Conference Center. Astounding generosity was displayed with the auction finishing with a new record amount of donations at $438,200 dollars. To put that in perspective, the 2021 auction was also a record breaker with a night total of $310,300 dollars and when all the additional donations were added in it reached a total of around $400,000 dollars. Already well ahead of that, the 2022 final total could even break the half a million mark if the tree toppers and silent auction items are comparable to previous years. The “Roaring With Love” dinosaur themed tree benefitting Quintien’s Warriors won the Children’s Choice award while the People’s Choice award went to the nativity themed “And they shall call him Immanuel” tree benefitting Trevor Harbison. There were multiple trees that reached donations of tens of thousands but the tree with the highest total was “Kanyon’s Adventures” at $41,500 dollars benefitting Kanyon Bowden. Kanyon is a toddler with an incurable and rare medical condition that causes tumors on his organs, including on his brain that results in seizures. The entire evening was a touching show of generosity and charitable giving. The 2022 Trees For Charity grand total will be announced in the coming weeks.
