Awe inspiring generosity was displayed on Monday night at the Trees For Charity Auction Gala at the Uintah Conference Center. The night total reached an amazing $419,250 dollars. To put that in perspective, over the history of the event the night total has only exceeded $400,000 dollars one other time and that was last year. In 2021, the auction night total exceeded $310,000 dollars and that was a record at that time. The People’s Choice award and Kid’s Choice award went to the same tree this year with the Hot Wheels themed Tree #14 ‘Wheels for Westyn’ claiming both titles. Many of the trees were auctioned for over $10,000 dollars but the tree that received the highest amount of donations for the night was Tree #15 ‘If only heaven weren’t so far away we would all load up and ride for the day’. Donated by Tree Care Services, Inc, the tree is to benefit Chayden and Odyssey Vernon who are experiencing a very high risk pregnancy after one of their twin boys was born too early and did not make it and everything is being done to save their other baby boy as he continues to grow. The total raised for the Vernons on Monday was $28,500 dollars. The 2023 Trees For Charity grand total will be announced in the coming weeks.
