This month Ashley Regional Medical Center celebrates eight decades of serving patients in the Uintah Basin and the surrounding areas, shares a press release issued Monday. Ashley Regional Medical Center has been a part of the Uintah Basin since 1941. The hospital was originally named Uintah Basin Hospital and was owned and operated by Uintah County until 1982 when it was sold to HCA and renamed Ashley Valley Medical Center. In 1999, the hospital became part of LifePoint Hospitals, Inc. and rebranded in 2009 to Ashley Regional Medical Center.
