Ashley Regional Medical Center is getting top scores when it comes to safety. The Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, announced a new round of safety grades this week for hospitals throughout the United States. Ashley Regional was one of 823 hospitals to receive an “A” ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States. “We are proud to take part in the safety measures provided by the Leapfrog Group,” says hospital CEO Ben Cluff. “Patient safety is of the utmost importance to all of us at Ashley Regional and a focus for every member of the staff. We will continue to follow the best practices outlined by Leapfrog and other quality groups to ensure the safety and care of each patient.” Ashley Regional also received an “A” ranking by The Leapfrog Group last fall. The safety grades use 30 measures of public hospital safety data to assign the grades and assess over 2,600 hospitals twice per year in the United States.
