A new local partnership will support future healthcare needs locally for many years to come. Ashley Regional Medical Center announced on Thursday that they have partnered with UBTech to donate $25,000 dollars cash every year toward scholarships and supplies that breakdown to $13,000 dollars for Allied Health program supplies, $6,000 dollars for the General Scholarship Account, and $6,000 dollars for an Ashley Regional employee Scholarship Foundation. “Recruitment and retention are big issues for any hospital,” shares Ashley Regional CEO Ben Cluff. “But recruitment and retention in rural areas is even more difficult. This ongoing partnership will continue to supply ‘homegrown’ healthcare workers for Ashley Regional.” This is just one of many ways that Ashley Regional and UBTech work together to promote healthcare education in the Basin.
