Prescribed burns are a common tool used in fire management but one that is easily misunderstood by those less informed. In order to educate those interested, fire management personnel from the Ashley National Forest will host a public meeting next week to provide information about prescribed burns on the Flaming Gorge Ranger District. Discussions will include planned projects in the area and how prescribed burns are utilized to maintain healthy forests and manage resources. The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 11th, at Red Canyon Visitors Center from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
