It’s been a busy week for the hard working staff at Ashley National Forest. If you have noticed smoke, that has been the result of personnel burning slash piles in the Greens Draw area on Wednesday and Thursday. “The locations contain piles of cut vegetation created during construction of a fuels break associated with the Speirs fire,” shares the Ashley National Forest announcement. “Smoke will likely be visible and may continue for a few days. However, the pile burns are expected to cause minimal impact to other areas or activities.” To stay up to date on the Ashley National Forest, visit fs.usda.gov/ashley.
