The personnel of Ashley National Forest are always hard at work. If you have noticed smoke, that has been the result of personnel burning more slash piles in the Greens Draw area this week. The locations they have focused on this winter contain piles of cut vegetation created during construction of a fuels break associated with the Speirs Fire. Smoke will likely be visible and may continue for a few days. However, the pile burns are expected to cause minimal impact to other areas or activities.
