Ashley National Forest is keeping campgrounds and parking lots open through this month with two events in mind. The Pupulation/Mac Attack Derby is this weekend and the Burbot Bash is January 27th through January 29th. “We are very excited about supporting both of these events by keeping campgrounds open through the month of January to offer stay options for those participating,” shares Bryan Wilson, Flaming Gorge District Ranger. The facilities available for campers include Buckboard Crossing Campground Loop A, Firehole Campground Loop A, and Lucerne Campground Loop A. Lucerne Campground will be the only one with vault restrooms available. All sites are first come first serve until capacity is reached. Also as a reminder, camping is not allowed on boat ramps or in the boat ramp parking areas at these locations.
