Ashley National Forest announced that firewood permits started going on sale on June 1st and will be sold until December 20th. Permits can be picked up at the Ashley National Forest offices in Duchesne, Manila, or Vernal. The following vendors also have permits for sale. Around Flaming Gorge visit either Colletts Mountain (Flaming Gorge) Resort or Flaming Gorge Market & Mercantile. In Vernal individuals can go to Davis Food & Drug, Liberty Corner, or Uintah Outdoor Power Equipment Inc. If in the Duchesne/Roosevelt area, visit Stewart’s Marketplace, Hanna Country Store, or Davis Food & Drug – Roosevelt.
