Murals continue to go up around Vernal and the artists behind most of them were recently recognized by the Vernal Chamber of Commerce. Ninty1(91) Designs was awarded the Business of the Month by the Public Relations Committee. Ninty1 Designs is owned by Jordan Clark, a Vernal native whose love of art grew into a passion for mural painting. Due to challenges during the pandemic, Jordan transitioned to being a full-time artist and there are dozens of murals around town to show for it. He says 2021 is also looking busy with a growing list of over 30 murals that are planned. The Vernal Chamber also recognized another community member that has been an important team member on many of the murals painted by Ninty1 Designs. Local artist Tonya Merrell was awarded the Beautification Award by the Public Relations Committee for her contributions to the community.
