Native American Education Empowerment Summit Held At Conference Center

The Ute Tribe Education Department is committed to excellence in education as was evident at the Native American Education Empowerment Summit held at the Uintah Conference Center on Tuesday and Wednesday. Uintah School District offered their support during the conference, sharing that Tuesday’s “sessions were geared toward high school students, while [Wednesday’s] sessions were designed to help junior high and middle school students as they prepare to enter high school. The sessions focused on mental and physical wellbeing, navigating school, and planning for a career after school. During the lunch break [Wednesday], current high school students and recent high school graduates talked about the importance of being involved in school, setting goals and working to achieve them, taking advantage of opportunities to learn technical skills, and having fun in school.” Well done to all involved!
