The closure of SR-121 between Lapoint and Vernal has caught drivers off guard this week. The two week closure started on Monday, August 1st and will continue through August 13th. The road is completely closed between mileposts 23 and 39 as a drain culvert is replaced. “Motorists can use U.S. 40 as an alternate route,” shares UDOT. “Once the culvert is installed, drivers should expect one-way traffic conditions with flaggers through mid-September as workers resurface the road in that area.” Questions can be directed to 435-233-6646 or email udotregion3@utah.gov.
