Plans for a new classroom building at Uintah High School are moving forward. The Uintah School Board approved the Fiscal Year 2023 budget during last week’s business meeting. Included in the $93.3 million dollar budget was $2 million dollars for the construction of a new Agricultural Sciences classroom building at UHS. The District shared that funding for the Ag Sciences building has been approved in three consecutive budget years. The amount budgeted has increased by about $800,000 since the building was initially approved due to rising construction costs and inflation. The district has sufficient money in its Capital Fund to cover the cost of the project and is currently seeking bids for its construction.
