May Is Archeology Month; Celebrate At Dinosaur National Monument

May is archaeology month in both Colorado and Utah and National Park Service and BLM archaeologists want to help you celebrate this weekend. They will be available on Saturday, May 14th from 10 to 2 at stops 9, 13, and 15 along the Cub Creek Road in Dinosaur National Monument to answer questions and talk about archaeology in the area. Dinosaurs are celebrated for good reason in Utah and Colorado and have a long heritage. The Colorado state fossil is the stegosaurus with one discovery near Morrison going as far back as 1876. There are remains of the herbivore that can be viewed at Dinosaur National Monument.
