Make Home Fire Safety A Top Priority

Temperatures are chilly and as you heat your home make safety a top priority. Uintah County Fire Marshal Jeremy Raymond urges all to clean your chimneys as there have been multiple chimney fires this year. He also says it’s crucial to service your furnaces, keep clearance around space heaters, and check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Other home fire safety tips are to: Avoid using candles in bedrooms and sleeping areas. Always use a flashlight, not a candle, for emergency lighting and if you smoke, smoke outside.
