‘Curious Savage’ at Vernal Theatre: LIVE Could Become A New Favorite

If the enthusiasm of the cast is any indication, ‘The Curious Savage’, opening this week at Vernal Theatre: LIVE, may be your favorite straight play you’re just now hearing about. All involved emphasize how much heart the show has and how easy it is to fall in love with. The story sees an elderly woman committed to a sanatorium by her stepchildren, an experience that contrasts the kindness and loyalty of the group of psychiatric patients to the greed and hostility of so-called ‘normal people’. While there is plenty of comedy, Juli Miller has had to get used to having a role that is not the comedic relief. “This show is hilariously adorable!” shares Miller. “It is one where you will be laughing the whole time and leave with a tear in your eye. It is the perfect contrast between the harshness of the world and the tenderness of innocence.” For a night of theater to remember, get your tickets to ‘The Curious Savage’, running select nights October 15th through the 23rd.
