Ashley National Forest Hunting Season Message

Ashley National Forest has reminders for everyone preparing for or already into the hunt season. There currently are no campfire restrictions on the Ashley National Forest. Please, never leave a fire unattended and make sure it is dead-out before heading out or ending your day. As you recreate on the Ashley National Forest please stay on designated trails with motorized vehicles. Cross-country travel is not allowed anywhere on the Ashley National Forest. Travel off designated motorized routes for the retrieval of big game with a motor vehicle is not allowed anywhere on the Ashley National Forest. The maximum speed limit on all Forest roads unless signed differently is 35 miles per hour. In the Avenza App search for Ashley National Forest to download the free Motorized Vehicle Use Maps to your phone. As you enjoy your campsites please remember to leave them cleaner than you found them. Please pack out all trash and leave fire rings clean for the next person. The Ashley National Forest has a 16 day stay limit in one location. Camps must be occupied overnight once every 72 hours. With the changing weather comes the possibility of snow or other inclement weather. Please be prepared and ensure someone not going with you knows where you are going and when to expect you to return.
