Earthquake Recorded Near Fruitland; What To Do If You Felt It

A magnitude 3.7 earthquake occurred northeast of Strawberry Reservoir on Wednesday and anyone in the Fruitland area and beyond are asked to fill out a survey if they felt it. According to the report from the University of Utah Seismograph Station, the magnitude 3.7 earthquake occurred at 1:52 PM on June 9th. The epicenter of the shock was located beneath the Wasatch Range, seven miles northeast of Strawberry Reservoir. It was followed by a magnitude 2.5 aftershock at 1:55 pm. “A magnitude 3.4 earthquake occurred in the same general area in 2006,” shares the report. “Anyone who felt the earthquake is encouraged to fill out a survey form on the US Geological Survey website: earthquake.usgs.gov.”
