Tri-County Area COVID-19 Transmission Level Update (1/7/21 - 1/12/21)

The TriCounty Health District is still in the same COVID-19 Transmission Index Levels. Uintah County and Duchesne County remain at the High Transmission Level and Daggett County is in the Low Transmission Level. According to TriCounty Health’s press release on Thursday, this means Uintah County had been in high transmission for 70 days, Duchesne County for 70 days and Daggett County in the low transmission level for 86 days. At the time of the press release, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 41 percent and there were 251 cases in the past 14 days. Duchesne County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 26 percent and there were 126 cases in the past 14 days. Daggett County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 25 percent and there were 10 cases in the past 14 days. Over the past 7 days from the time of the press release, the tri-county area as a whole had 14 COVID-19 related hospitalizations and 4 new COVID-19 related deaths. Statewide total ICU utilization was 86 percent and the 7-day COVID-19 utilization was 34 percent.
