Get Unused Vehicles Off City Streets Before Snow Hits
By Kristin Forbis, Oct 15, 2020
Vernal City Police Department has a reminder for residents as the seasons will soon be changing. “Winter weather is just around the corner, and this means we need to prepare ourselves,” shares Vernal PD. “If you have unused vehicles, disabled vehicles, or vehicles that have not been moved in a while, those vehicles need to be removed from the City Streets so that plows can be effective.” City ordinance states that no vehicle or object is to interfere with the snow plowing or snow removal efforts on city streets and the city can utilize towing and impounding of vehicles when necessary. If a vehicle needs to be moved, Vernal City will attempt to make contact with the owner but if attempts are unsuccessful the vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense.
