Schools Placed on Temporary Lockdown During Apprehension of Fugitive

Two schools in Duchesne County School District were placed on temporary lockdown as police dealt with an incident. The District shared the following information about the incident: At approximately 10 a.m. on Monday, September 14th, Myton Elementary and ConAmore schools were placed on temporary lockdown as police worked to apprehend a fugitive nearby. The Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Duchesne County Sheriff's Office created a one-block perimeter around the suspect's location, which included both schools. The lockdown lasted approximately 20 minutes. No students were in danger at any time.
