Duchesne County Solicits Services for Design of New Library
By Kristin Forbis, Jun 25, 2020
The Duchesne County Library Board is officially asking for statements of qualifications from architectural/engineering firms for services to provide designs for a new library. In recent years, the Roosevelt branch library has exceeded state benchmarks with their stats growing in circulation, frequency of events, attendance, and visits to the library. Seeing that they had essentially outgrown their Roosevelt location, the Duchesne County Library Board and the Duchesne County Commission began several years ago to seriously consider the prospect of building a new library in Roosevelt. A feasibility study was conducted and an architect created a basic design. The public was invited to view and offer feedback during public meetings and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Wednesday’s Notice of Request for Architectural/Engineering Services shared that the deadline for interested firms to submit statements of qualifications is 5pm on July 21st, 2020.
