An over 100 acre property in Wasatch County could be holding your missing property as law enforcement announced this week that the location is a now busted chop shop. Vehicles, trailers, ATVs, motorcycles, automotive parts, power tools, firearms, and more fill the property that was searched after Wasatch County Sheriff’s deputies acquired a search warrant on September 20th. They had been dispatched to look for a stolen vehicle that was equipped with GPS that had been taken from a neighboring county earlier that morning. Where did the GPS lead them? To a residence near Wallsburg. To top it all off, tools commonly used in cases of theft were found as well as methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia. 32-year-old Tyler Boyd James Hewitt of Wallsburg, 27-year-old Trista Roxanne Samson of Magna, and 27-year-old Trenton Bailey Gates of Centerville were each arrested on a long list of charges including Theft of an Automobile, Theft of Property, Weapons Offense, Possession of a Vehicle without a VIN, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, as well as multiple existing warrants.
