Public outcry demanded police do something when a video began circulating on Tik Tok in August showing two Colorado boys visibly upset and saying their stepdad gags and hogties them. Rangely Police Department confirmed that on August 12th they received a 911 report about 2 boys riding bikes southbound on Colorado Highway 139 towards Grand Junction. The boys were returned to their residence and released to their mother at that time which only fueled the public fury in the case. The Rangely Police Department recently issued an update in the case, stating that on October 12th, Rangely police officers, with assistance from the Dinosaur Marshal’s Office, arrested 41-year-old Micheal Shane Levins and 42-year-old Crystal Dawn Tillson on misdemeanor child abuse warrants. “In August, the children involved in the case reported physical abuse to responding officers while riding their bikes towards Loma on Highway 139,” shares the update. “The children were removed from the custody of Levins and Tillson, during the criminal investigation and remain in a safe environment.”
