An arrest was made at a hotel in Naples City after a call to police came in from out of state concerned for the well being of a friend staying at the hotel. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, police responded and spoke with the desk clerk who advised that there had been a complaint of a man and woman arguing on the third floor. A group of officers responded and knocked on the reported door. A woman answered and identified herself by the name the caller had given. The Affidavit listed the woman’s obvious injuries and noted that she was visibly shaken and broken in her speech. Officers entered the room to find an unresponsive male lying on the floor and the odor of alcohol overwhelming the room. Eventually, the man was roused but his speech was heavily slurred, his face was flushed, and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. After interviewing both individuals, 35-year-old Kenneth Emmot Caleb Gober was placed under arrest for the offenses of Aggravated Assault, Damaging a Communication Device, and Intoxication. At the jail, Gober resisted the correction deputies and had to be restrained. He would rapidly escalate and physically strike the doors and walls.
