The suspect has been arrested in multiple cases of theft in Duchesne County. 32-year-old Gattlyn Macaulay Nicholes was arrested on July 26th and booked into Duchesne County Jail. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers received information on July 21st that Nicholes was in possession of a stolen camp trailer and side-by-side that had been taken from the Reid Ranch area of Duchesne County. Officers were able to find and verify the property by vin number. The ATV had begun to have parts stripped off of it and interior parts of the stolen trailer were also located on the property. The trailer was eventually found down a steep ravine where it had been pushed off and was a total loss. Officers eventually located Nicholes by connecting with an informant who was texting with Nicholes about purchasing a handgun. Officers met Nicholes at the arranged meet up location and ordered him to the ground at gunpoint. Nicholes has been charged in multiple cases of theft that occurred in Duchesne County this year, among other charges.
