A suspect is in custody after Craig Police officers observed the suspicious male run from the parking lot they were in into the Super 8 Motel in Craig where he barricaded himself at around 1:30am. After investigation, the man was identified as Adam Schulte, who had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest. Patrol officers attempted to contact Schulte in his room by knocking but he would not answer. Officers obtained a search warrant and the Moffat County Combined Special Response Team (SRT) was activated to serve the warrants on the barricaded subject. The team arrived on the scene and eventually were able to contact Schulte by cell phone around 5:00am.  After about 40 minutes of negotiating, the negotiator was able to convince Schulte to open the door and surrender peacefully. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Moffat County Jail, where he was booked on the felony warrant.
