Applications Being Accepted for Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant

An opportunity for local non-profits and government agencies could make all the difference in securing funding for the coming years. Uintah County Director of Travel and Tourism Lesha Coltharp has extended an invitation to those interested in attending a grant writing workshop specifically for the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant that is accepting applications. “If you have a project or business that you think could benefit from these workshops and you want to get involved,” shares Coltharp, “we would love to have you attend the workshop.” The grant is through the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and provides matching grant funding to local governments and nonprofits to build outdoor recreation infrastructure. The grant cycle is presently open and closes on June 15th. Coltharp urges those eligible to attend the local grant writing workshop onMonday, May 8th at the Golden Age Center in Vernal.
