Armed with 10 gallons of paint and boxes of brushes and rollers, the Altamont High School National Honor Society chapter set out to complete their day of service on Thursday, April 26th. For their project this year, they chose to take steps to fix up the Altamont rodeo grounds. After surveying the area, adviser Amber Thacker thought that the best place to start would be to paint the bleachers. The 10 gallons of paint quickly disappeared, but the project was overall a success. There is still a lot to be done with the rodeo grounds to restore them to their original grandeur, but for now, the NHS students have done what they can and upheld the legacy of the National Honor Society.
