Uintah Basin Technical College recently made Allred’s Landscaping and Construction the recipient of their Connectivity Award. The award is given to companies and individuals for their “industry connectivity and engagement with students and programs at UBTech.” Ben Allred, co-owner of Allred’s Landscaping, explains: “The Uintah Basin has been great to us and this is something we are very happy to share and hopefully give back.” Allred’s Landscaping and Construction offered a $10,000 dollar scholarship starting in 2018 to help single mothers obtain an education. The UBTech Allred’s Landscaping Annuity Scholarship was able to benefit 24 single mothers. The scholarship is offered to single mothers covering 100 percent of their tuition for those in Duchesne, Uintah, and Daggett Counties. “Their contribution has benefited so many lives,” shares UBTech President Aaron Weight. “It’s wonderful that so many have taken this opportunity.”
