A traffic stop and a search warrant on a Uintah County residence put several alleged drug dealers behind bars this week. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, the search warrant was executed on July 15th. After some delay, the door was opened by Candice Hogan. As officers were clearing the residence, they located Travis Davies in the back bedroom and bathroom area. His hands and clothing were wet. A large sum of cash was in his pocket and when asked about Fentanyl powder in the residence he said he was unsure how much or where it was. In the back bathroom there was a plunger inside the toilet with baggies and bleach inside. Water was splashed all over the bathroom. The scene was consistent with trying to flush items. In the bedroom there was a baggie of fentanyl powder and inside a safe was found methamphetamine, baggies, fentanyl pills, black tar heroin, and drug distribution items. Travis Davies and Candice Hogan were both arrested. The day before Shae Smith was arrested following a traffic stop. Davies, Hogan, and Smith had each been documented selling illegal drugs to a confidential informant earlier this year and all three were arrested and booked on distribution charges this week.
