For those that have been waiting, TriCounty Health is spreading the word that the COVID-19 booster shot is now available for all adults 18 and older. Governor Cox reported on Wednesday that there have been 579,376 Utahns diagnosed with COVID-19; 25,273 have been hospitalized; and 3,398 have died. Effective Thursday, all Utahns 18 and older should self-determine their risk of exposure. The booster is eligible for people 18 and older who received their second dose of either Pfizer or Moderna vaccine more than six months ago and people 18 and older who received their first dose of Johnson and Johnson vaccine more than two months ago. Health officials encourage all eligible to consider a booster dose. Visit www.tricountyhealth.com for local information on COVID-19.
