A new federal program is now being offered in the Uintah Basin and there are locals able and ready to help those interested. The Affordable Connectivity Program helps low-income families afford the cost of having internet service in their home and also offers a one time discount on a computer purchased through a participating provider. Households that have a household income at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines qualify. Households with a member that participates in a list of assistance programs, including but not limited to SNAP, Medicaid, Lifeline, or free and reduced school lunch also qualify.
