The River Festival continues to give the Basin some unique opportunities to celebrate the John Wesley Powell expedition including River History Presentations coming up. The evening will have two presenters who are experienced river rafters who have had experience along the same route that the Powell expedition traveled. Mark H. Fuller is a scenic photographer and biologist and will be making the first presentation entitled Scenic Journey Down the Green. He will present photographs of his Green River trip through Yampa, Whirlpool and Split Mountain Canyons, saying he hopes his photography captures the river’s uniqueness and majesty. The second presenter is Roy Webb, an author and archivist who has written almost exclusively about the history of river running. He has taught classes and acted as a consultant for documentaries and television about river running. These River History Presentations will be taking place at the Uintah County Heritage Museum
on June 21st
