Vernal City is warning the public of a local scam to watch out for. “Vernal City would like to make you aware of a suspicious email that has been sent out. It appears to be in regards to the Annual Mayors Walk,” shares the announcement. “Although the email looks legit, it is not. As always, be cautious of emails you are not expecting and do not click on any links. Pay close attention to who sent you the email. You can do this by hovering over the sender name. If it is not someone you know, it is always best to delete the email. As a reminder, the City is not asking for sponsorships for the Mayors Walk at this time.” A good rule to follow is to contact the source reaching out to you through a known listed number, not the number provided.
