Drilling is a predictor of economic strength and a new report from the Uintah Basin Small Business Development Center offers the latest data locally. “2022 is starting off with a fair amount of drilling,” shares the report. “Both Counties are up in spudded (started) wells. However, applications and completed wells are down from last year. One new rig was added in January. While we have enjoyed a mild winter the eastern United States has had it rough so maximum Natural Gas inventory peaked lower than last year and prices climbed for a few months then fell off in December to slightly recover last month.” Graphs are available to view on the Uintah Basin Small Business Development Center Facebook page.
