Roosevelt Police Chief To Present On His Plan To Restructure And Address Crime

 It’s been less than a year since Police Chief Mark Watkins joined the Roosevelt City team and a special event is coming up where he will spell out his plans for his department. Chief Watkins is the guest speaker for the upcoming Roosevelt Business Alliance meeting. Chief Watkins is working on restructuring the Roosevelt Police Department and he will address that as well as his plans for addressing crime in the City. He comes to the job with a long list of impressive qualifications, including graduating from FBI Command College and the University of Utah’s Law Enforcement Leadership Program as well as a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in Criminal Justice Administration. He has 34 years of law enforcement service and in that time has received the Medal of Valor, Purple Heart, and Medal of Meritorious Service. The meeting will be held February 8th at the Crossroads Senior Center at 8am.
