The Uintah Basin Small Business Development Center shares that while 2020 was the toughest year for drilling since they began collecting data, 2021 turned out to be the best year for drilling since 2014 in all categories. “There were more spudded wells, more completed wells, with higher natural gas and oil prices while inventories remained about average,” shares the Center. “The number of rigs was equal to previous years. When we consider the head wind of politics and the slowing of the national economy, even though it wasn’t fantastic, we should chalk 2021 up in the win column.”
