The chance to see a bald eagle in the wild can be exhilarating and the opportunity for such a chance is coming up. Bald eagles fly to Utah in the winter to escape colder conditions in the north and find food making it the prime time to spot one in person. The Division of Wildlife Resources is holding three viewing events throughout the state and as luck would have it, one will take place in northeastern Utah. Get it on the calendar now, the bald eagle viewing event is scheduled for February 19th at the Ouray National Wildlife Refuge headquarters in Randlett. If you’re hoping to spot one before then, keep your binoculars or a spotting scope in your vehicle and safely pull over if you think you spot one perched in a tree or elsewhere.
