Uintah County Moves Down On COVID-19 Transmission Index

The local COVID-19 Transmission Index has had another shift in the right direction. As of Thursday, December 30th, TriCounty Health Department reported 9,227 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area to date. As of that report, there had been zero new COVID-19 related deaths in the previous 7 days and 9 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations. According to Thursday’s data, there were 247 active cases and case counts and trends are doing better for now throughout the tri-county area. The COVID-19 Transmission Index reports that Uintah County moved from the High Transmission Index Level to the Moderate Level, Duchesne County remained at the Moderate Level, and Daggett County remained at the Low Level. Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 9 percent with 83 cases, Duchesne County was 9 percent with 60 cases, and Daggett County was 25 percent with 8 cases.
