UDOT projects in the Uintah Basin are wrapping up for the season. Region 3 Communications Manager Geoff Dupaix reports that work on S.R. 87 in Duchesne is now complete. This $700,000 dollar project started in early October and focused work on Center Street and a half mile of Highway 40 rehabilitating the asphalt. The work on S.R 121 (500 W/500 N in Vernal) is nearing completion, shares Dupaix. “Crews need to finish rebuilding manhole accesses, cleaning the shoulder areas, and install pavement messages along that roadway.” This $4.7 million dollar project focused on a 6-mile segment of road from milepost 34 to the 500 West Highway 40 intersection. The work on Highway 40 between Gusher and the junction with State Route 88 is now wrapped up for the season and crews will return next spring to complete the work. This $4.74 million dollar project includes removing and rebuilding the pavement.
