Many people in the community know the name of Joel Brown and he’s in the news again sharing about his accepting a “once in a lifetime opportunity.” Brown was recently in Washington, D.C. as part of the Rural Utah Chamber Coalition and Senator Mike Lee’s staff approached Brown about a job opportunity. The timing was interesting because Brown had just given his 2 weeks notice as the Vernal Chamber Director having accepted an exciting position with Uintah Basin Healthcare with plans to start this week. After meetings and interviews in D.C. and Salt Lake City, Brown was offered the position working for Senator Mike Lee as the Area Director for Northern Utah. He will work in Uintah, Duchesne, Daggett, Grand, Carbon, Wasatch, and Summit Counties and he will be able to stay in Vernal. Brown says it was hard to break the news to those at Uintah Basin Healthcare but he is excited about the opportunity and will be working with elected officials as well as the business community. Congratulations Joel on your once in a lifetime opportunity. We know you’ll do amazing things for northern Utah!
