Shuttle bus company, Salt Lake Express, has announced that Vernal is among its new routes announced on Tuesday. The Salt Lake Express has surged in growth with its expansion as a company. One year ago, the company consolidated its St. George Express brand to the main brand name of Salt Lake Express. At that time, the owner of Salt Lake Express emphasized that they know how tough the pandemic has been on the travel industry but that they were hitting the road running with plans for additional services and routes. At the time of this week’s announcement of new routes, Salt Lake Express services the Wasatch Front, Cache Valley, and communities along I-15 and I-80. Newly announced routes, in addition to Vernal, include Blanding, Moab, Green River, and Price, among others. The route from Vernal will have stops in Roosevelt, Duchesne, Heber, Park City, downtown Salt Lake City, and the Salt Lake Airport. “There is so much that these places have to offer,” shares Salt Lake Express owner Jacob Price in Tuesday’s announcement. “They often get overlooked but they are filled with rich history, culture, and things to do and see. We are hoping to serve the local communities as well as tourists looking for access to these recreational destinations…What we do here at Salt Lake Express is connect people with where they need to be, especially those who don’t have a great deal of resources available to them.” Salt Lake Express also makes connections beyond Utah, including as north as Montana and as south as Las Vegas and connects with other shuttle companies throughout the nation. The company’s announcement emphasized that these new routes, including Vernal, provide a crucial service to rural residents by connecting them with an international airport and better access to healthcare.
