Christmas tree permits became available this week for Ashley National Forest. Permits may be purchased for $15 dollars online at Recreation.gov or at one of the following locations: Duchesne Ranger District, Flaming Gorge Ranger District, Davis Jubilee in Vernal and Roosevelt, Uintah Outdoor Power Equipment in Vernal, Stewart’s Market Place in Roosevelt, Liberty Corner (Shirley’s) in Lapoint, Hanna Country Store in Hanna, Flaming Gorge Resort in Dutch John, and Flaming Gorge Market and Mercantile in Manila. One fun way to receive a free Christmas tree permit is if you have a fourth grade student who can obtain a pass in the Every Kid Outdoors program. Information on how to obtain a pass is available at www.everykidoutdoors.gov.
