Thankfully no injuries were reported in an accident that involved a school bus with students on board in Uintah County on Tuesday. According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, a Uintah School District bus carrying seven students was struck from behind near

. “The collision occurred when the bus driver pulled the bus to the right side of the road and stopped to allow vehicles following behind to pass,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. “A passenger car, driven by a 24-year-old Vernal resident, hit the bus after failing to see it had pulled over and stopped. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.” The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the driver of the car was cited. Uintah School District reports that the parents of the students on board were notified of the crash and a second bus was sent for the students whose parents could not come pick them up.
